FARGO-North Dakota State's softball team will be heading to Tucson, Arizona to play in its ninth NCAA Tournament.
The Bison, fresh off a fifth straight Summit League tournament championship, found out Sunday night it will play Mississippi State at 8 p.m. Friday in the Tucson Regional-the same place they played in the 2012 NCAA Tournament.
The Bison are 33-17 overall while Mississippi State is 36-21 overall. No. 14-seed and regional host Arizona (40-14) will play St. Francis, Pa. (39-17).
The Bison have a 9-16 record in the NCAA Tournament, including winning the Oklahoma Regional in 2009. Here is a look at how the Bison have fared in their previous eight NCAA Tournaments:
