Fargo Davies 7, Fargo South 5
FARGO — Jenna Leingang led the Eagles to an Eastern Dakota Conference win over South on Thursday.
Leingang cracked three hits and three RBIs for Davies, who scored two runs each in the fifth and sixth innings. Graciela Contreras, Kennedy Vettel and Sidney Amerman all added two hits each for the Eagles. Leingang also got the win on the mound, allowing two runs off three hits in 3 1/3 innings.
Adie Wagner’s three hits and two RBIs paced the Bruins. Madelyn Esterby posted two hits and an RBI, while Emily Jordahl chipped in another two hits.
Davies improved to 4-3 overall and 5-3 in the EDC. South dropped to 1-4 overall and 2-6 in the EDC.
Fargo Shanley 26, Grand Forks Central 8
FARGO — Shanley rolled to an EDC win over Grand Forks Central in five innings.
The Deacons rose to 2-3 both overall and in the EDC. GFC fell to 2-4 overall and is 2-6 in the EDC standings.
West Fargo 12, 11, Valley City 5, 0
WEST FARGO — Sophie Ochocki hit a home run in each game and drove in six runs to lead West Fargo to a doubleheader sweep against Valley City.
In the second game, Ochocki had two hits, including the homer, and drove in four runs. Kaitlyn Kackman and Delia Osland both had two hits. Grace Fleming got the win, allowing only one hit in five innings while striking out five.
In the first game, West Fargo (7-6, 6-0 EDC) broke the game open with four runs in the third and added four more in the fifth.
Ochocki had two hits, including the first of her two homers, and drove in two runs. Kackman had three hits and two RBIs. Both Ashlyn Diemert and Aubrey Finn had two hits, an RBI and scored three times.
