DULUTH, Minn. — Minnesota Duluth took two games from Minnesota State Moorhead on Sunday.

The Bulldogs won the opener 8-0 and also won the second game 7-1.

UMD's Sam Pederson won her 10th game in Game 1, two-hitting the Dragons over five innings and striking out three. MSUM's Elizabeth Johnson doubled and Samantha Gjerde singled for the team's only hits.

In Game 2, UMD's Lauren Dixon improved to 14-5, allowing four hits in six scoreless innings and striking out eight. MSUM picked up its run on a bases-loaded walk in the seventh off reliever Corrie Weise. Gjerde and Jordey Smith both had two hits.

The Dragons fell to 7-22 in the NSIC and 9-34 overall. The NSIC championship begins Thursday.
