West Fargo Sheyenne 21, 14, Fargo Davies 6, 4

WEST FARGO — Sheyenne’s barrage at the plate fueled the Mustangs to a pair of dominant wins over Davies on Thursday in Eastern Dakota Conference action.

In Game 1, the Mustangs scored all their runs in the first three innings, highlighted by a 10-run third. Kate Geiszler went 4-for-4, including two triples, with four runs and six RBIs to pace Sheyenne (14-5, 14-3 EDC). Maddie Buchert had four hits, four runs and three RBIs, while Kyra Narum homered to highlight a two-hit, three-RBI performance. Zaria Anderson also drove in three runs, and Katlyn Suess had two hits, four runs and two RBIs.

Avery Mohr had three hits, three runs and an RBI for Davies (6-10, 7-9) in the opener. Graciela Contreras recorded two hits, two runs and three RBIs.

Sheyenne’s Anderson boosted her daily RBI total to six with three more in Game 2, in addition to four hits and two runs. Suess drove in three more runs, and Geiszler posted three RBIs and two runs. Maya Metcalf also drove home three runs.

Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton 4, 13, Barnesville 2, 2

BARNESVILLE, Minn. — The Rebels rolled to a doubleheader sweep of Barnesville.

D-G-F’s Mallory Leitner had a strong Game 1 on the mound and at the plate. She compiled two hits and an RBI, while surrendering two runs (one earned) with eight strikeouts and zero walks in a complete-game effort. Evelyn Moe had two hits and scored a run.

In the second game, Moe went 4-for-5 with three runs and three RBIs to lead the Rebels. Jena Bjelland had two hits and two RBIs, and Taylor Aakre was 3 of 5 with a run and two RBIs. Makayla Bjelland totaled two hits, three runs and an RBI, while Skylar Spessard had three hits. Jena Bjelland also picked up the complete-game win, giving up two runs (one earned) on four hits with seven strikeouts and no walks.

D-G-F rose to 15-1 overall, while Barnesville dropped to 4-9.

West Fargo 17, Devils Lake 3

DEVILS LAKE, N.D. — West Fargo rolled to a five-inning EDC victory over Devils Lake.

The Packers improved to 14-10 overall and 15-0 in the EDC. Devils Lake dropped to 0-12 overall and 0-14 in the conference.

Valley City 11, Fargo Shanley 2

FARGO — The Hi-Liners cruised to an EDC victory against the Deacons.

Valley City pitcher Hailey Schaefer surrendered just one hit — Ingrid Otterson’s two-run home run — and struck out 17 Deacons in a complete-game victory.

Schaefer also homered and drove in three runs, Lexi Leroux and Erika Anderson both had three hits and drove in two runs and Autumn McGough tripled and drove in two runs.

Valley City improved to 10-8 overall and 12-2 in the conference. Shanley dropped to 4-9 overall and 3-10 in the EDC.

Fargo South 7, Grand Forks Red River 3

GRAND FORKS — South talled five runs in the third inning to fuel a conference win over Red River.

South’s Katelyn Erickson had two hits and drove in two runs, Emily Jordahl tripled and drove in two runs and Paige Schroeder doubled, tripled and had one RBI. Madelyn Esterby had two hits and an RBI.

South rose to 4-7 overall and 6-9 in the conference. Red River fell to 5-9 overall and 4-12 in the conference standings.
