The St. Cloud Apollo girls basketball team had no idea what hit it Saturday afternoon.
Moorhead dominated the Eagles inside and outside, leaving them spinning in a 79-44 Spud victory at Moorhead High School.
"We got the ball to the people that were open, and they made a lot of good decisions," Moorhead coach Jim Kapitan said. "We weren't forcing a lot of things, and we weren't taking bad shots."
Jenna Dolence and Kassie Hooten got things started, combining for Moorhead's first eight points - all on the inside.
Then the newest Spud, Kelsey Jacobson, did her thing.

The transfer from Barnesville, Minn., canned back-to-back 3-pointers to start a26-4 blitz that made it 34-9 with 8 minutes, 55 seconds remaining in the half.
The first 12 points of the burst came off 3-pointers. Five players scored in the game-changing rally.
"We've got a lot of good players - good passers and good scorers," Jacobson said. "When we get the inside-outside going like that, it can get pretty unstoppable."
Jacobson led the Spuds with 20 points behind six 3-pointers.
Dolence and Gina Jaroszewski each had 17 points, while Hooten added 10.
Moorhead dominated the boards as well, allowing few Apollo offensive rebounds. The Spuds outrebounded the Eagles 48-33. Hooten grabbed 12 boards and Jaroszewski had 10.
