David Flickinger is one of six high school swimmers who have signed letters of intent to compete at the University of North Dakota.

A Minnesota Class 2A, Section 8 swimmer of the meet this past season, Flickinger was a section champion in the 200 freestyle and 100 butterfly. At the Class 2A state meet, Flickinger helped the Spuds to a 12th-place finish and finished fifth in the 100 butterfly and seventh in the 200 freestyle.

"David is one of the most talented swimmers in this recruiting class on the men's side," said UND swimming and diving coach Steve Parsons. "He is going to have a big impact on our men's team in the free and fly events. His potential is big."

Others who have committed to swim for the UND men and women teams are: Morgan Lynch of Elk River, Minn.; Rachael Waldbillig of Lexington, Minn.; Kaitlin Bolinske of Williston, N.D.; Devin Aune of Mandan, N.D.; and Wesley Schultz of Tehachapi, Calif.
