CAMBRIDGE, Minn. -- Moorhead couldn't stop Phil Porta. That translated into the termination of the Spuds' football season.
Porta rushed for 308 yards and four touchdowns, leading Cambridge to a 40-15 victory in the first round of the Minnesota Class 5A, Section 8 playoffs.
The Bluejackets (5-4) are scheduled to play at No. 1-seeded Brainerd Saturday in the section semifinals. Moorhead (4-5) ended its season on a two-game losing streak.
The Spuds trailed 14-7 late in the second quarter and had marched the ball 70 yards to the Cambridge 10-yard line.
