DEVILS LAKE, N.D. - Don Denning and his son Jacob, both of Fargo, along with his nephew Nathan Denning of Gackle, N.D., won the recent "Angler Young Angler Regional Fishing Tournament" on Devils Lake.
Team Denning caught five walleyes weighing more than 20 pounds. Jacob Denning sealed the win by catching a six-pound walleye during the final hour of competition.
With the win, the Denning trio has earned a spot at the "Angler Young Angler International Championships" to be held Aug. 13 in Kenora, Ont.
The regional tournament was sponsored by FM Walleyes Unlimited Inc. and the Lake Region Anglers Association.
