PARK RAPIDS, Minn. - The first annual Tour De Pines Bike Tour in and around Itasca State Park near here will begin at 9 a.m. Aug. 22.
Proceeds from the event will benefit and support the Mississippi Headwaters Hostel at Itasca.
Routes of 25 and 50 miles are offered, and a barbecue dinner and live entertainment will be held at the hostel following the ride.
Registration fees are $50 for adults and $25 for youths ages 17 and younger and include a T-shirt and one barbecue ticket.
