DULUTH, Minn. — Minnesota State Moorhead senior Nadir Yusuf won his second title of the weekend while junior Shyrone Kemp won the triple jump to lead the Dragons' track and field teams at the final day of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships.
The Dragon men finished a fourth and the women finished 14th.
Yusuf's weekend was capped off by a win in the 5,000-meter run. He set a new MSUM school record and meet record with a time of 14 minutes, 19.51 seconds. That time is an NCAA provisional mark. Yusuf also set a new meet record in winning the 10K on Friday. He now has five NSIC track titles in his career.
Kemp won the triple jump with a mark of 49-feet, 3-3/4-inches, which he accomplished on his fourth attempt. He has three NSIC titles in his Dragon career.
MSUM will learn of its national qualifiers on Tuesday.
