GREENSBORO, N.C. — Concordia Cobbers junior Jesse Middendorf finished fifth in the men's 800 meters to earn All-American Honors on Saturday at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

Middendorf is the first Concordia track All-American since 1992. He ran the 800 in 1 minute, 52.53 seconds.

On the women's side, Cobbers junior Cayle Hovland capped her season with a toss of 43 feet, 9 3/4 inches for an 11th-place finish in Saturday's shot put preliminaries. On Friday, senior Josie Herrmann placed seventh in the 800 in 2:14.27.
