FARGO — Fargo Davies boys track and field head coach Matt Quintus has stepped down, the school announced Tuesday.

Quintus held the position for seven years. Davies Activities Director Lenny Ohlhauser said in a statement that Quintus "is dedicated to Davies' programming and will continue to serve as an assistant for the football and boys basketball programs." He also will continue his science teaching position at the school.

"It was a difficult decision to step down, but with time commitment and personal commitments, I feel that it is the best for the program," Quintus said in a statement released by the school. The boys track and field head coaching position will be posted.
