BROOKINGS, S.D. — Nobody in collegiate history has thrown the shot put further than North Dakota State's Payton Otterdahl.

Otterdahl set the all-time collegiate record with his mark of 71 feet, 6 3/4 inches Saturday at the Summit League Championships. The men's team grabbed the runner-up spot with 207 points. Ryan Enerson claimed his third league heptathlon title with career-best mark of 5,269 points.

The women's team scored 214.5 points to win its 12th straight team title. Kelby Andersen was named Most Outstanding Performer of the meet, gaining the Bison 21 points in the distance events. Bailey Retzlaff won the league title in the shot put, throwing a meet record 56-2 1/2.
