FARGO — If Fargo Force fans were watching their final game of the season on Friday, Tyler Rollwagen did some great unscripted promoting to get them back again in the fall.

Rollwagen scored a hat trick in the third period and the Force defeated Sioux Falls 5-3 in the final regular-season game of the season at Scheels Arena before 4,206.

After Sioux Falls' Max Rud scored on the power play early in the third to make it 2-2, Rollwagen scored on the power play at 13:04 on assists from Felikss Gavars and Cole Knuble for the lead. Less than three minutes later, Knuble and Bret Link set up Rollwagen for his second goal and a 4-2 edge.

Sioux Falls' Jack Reimann scored shorthanded at 18:22 to cut the lead in half, but with a Stampede skater still off, Knuble and Link again set up Rollwagen for an empty net goal at 18:52.

The Force scored the only first-period goal when Max Smolinkski and Ryan Alexander set up Trevor Griebel for his fourth goal of the season at 2:23.
