BROOKINGS, S.D. -- North Dakota State and Missouri-Kansas City were so evenly matched Sunday afternoon that they decided to go another five minutes. LeAndrea Thomas drove the length of the court in overtime and scored with one second left to give the Kangaroos a 76-75 win in the quarterfinals of The Summit League women's basketball tournament.

NDSU's Katie Birkel made 1 of 2 free throws with seven seconds left. Thomas took the inbounds pass and put up a driving scoop shot that settled in.

NDSU's last attempt, a desperation shot by Abby Plucker, hit the back rim and bounced off. For more, see Monday's Forum.
