FARGO - The University of North Dakota men's hockey team was ranked No. 3 in both the USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey preseason polls released on Monday.
The Fighting Sioux picked up five first-place votes in the USCHO poll, and three first-place votes in the USA Today poll.
North Dakota starts its season against the University of Regina in exhibition play on Saturday at 7:07 p.m. at Ralph Engelstad Arena.
