MOORHEAD — The Fargo Force might be tempted to schedule a few more games at the Moorhead Sports Center.
The Force headed across the river to take on the Sioux Falls Stampede in Moorhead but it was Fargo that did the stampeding, scoring three goals in both the first and second periods and winning in a romp, 7-2.
Fargo's Kevin Scott, Mac Swanson and Reid Conn scored first-period goals, and after Sioux Falls' Maddox Fleming got the Stampede on the board in the first, the Force padded the lead further in the second.
Bret Link scored early in the second and Swanson scored his second of the game midway through the second. Kyle Smolen made it 6-1 with a goal at 16:09 of the second.
In the third, Sioux Falls' Samuel Harris scored at about the 12 minute mark but Smolen capped the scoring with his second goal at 17:05.
