LINCOLN, Neb. — Three straight second-period goals helped the Fargo Force rally from a goal down and defeat Lincoln 4-1 on Friday at the Ice Box.
After a scoreless first period, Lincoln took the lead on Jared Mangan's goal at 7:22. The lead didn't last long. The Force's Kyle Smolen scored 13 seconds later on assists from Charlie Russell and Anthony Menghini.
Ty Henricks put the Force ahead with a goal at 13:44 on an assist from Jakob Stender. Menghini made it 3-1 Force with his 11th goal of the season on an assist from Russell.
JP Turner made it a three-goal game with a goal at 8:37 of the third on assists from Bret Link and German Yavash.
The Force outshot the Stars 41-25 and Force goalie Matej Marinov stopped 24 Stars shots.

The Force and Stars play the second game of a two-game set at 6:05 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 at the Ice Box.
