VIDEO: Cobbers looking to retain the 'Troll' trophy

MOORHEAD - Concordia is set to compete for the "ugliest" traveling trophy in the country Saturday when it plays against Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Confernece football foe St. Olaf.

MOORHEAD - Concordia is set to compete for the "ugliest" traveling trophy in the country Saturday when it plays against Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Confernece football foe St. Olaf.

The Cobbers (2-1, 1-0 MIAC) are coming off a 24-16 loss against rival St. John's (3-0, 2-1) last weekend. The winner of the Concordia-St. Olaf game is awared the Troll trophy. The teams have played for the Troll since 1974.

The Cobbers earned a 52-14 home victory against the Oles last season to retain the Troll for a third consecutive season.

Concordia head coach Terry Horan has a 99-48 record heading in the St. Olaf game.
