MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. — North Dakota State's volleyball team secured a 3-2 (21-25, 25-13, 25-20, 22-25, 15-12) win over Eastern Illinois on Saturday in the final match of the Chippewa Invitational.

In the third set with the match tied 17-17, NDSU put together an 8-3 run to secure the third set. After trailing 7-4 in the fifth, the Bison were able to produce another late run to put away Eastern Illinois.

Alexis Bachmeier led NDSU with 13 kills and 19 digs. Kalli Hegerle registered her third triple-double of the tournament with 10 kills, 11 digs and 21 assists.

NDSU (3-3) finished 2-1 at the tournament and will play California (4-0) at 7 p.m. Friday to commence the NDSU Classic at the Bentson Bunker Fieldhouse.
