North Dakota State softball accomplished a milestone for head coach Darren Mueller while putting itself in the Summit League tournament winner's bracket.

The third-seeded Bison shutout second seed Omaha on Friday evening, 2-0. The win was Mueller's 700th in his career. He continues to lead the Summit League in career victories.

NDSU will play the winner between South Dakota-South Dakota State tomorrow afternoon at 2:00 p.m.

At midnight, one of the most circled dates on the Minnesota calendar returns with the 2022 fishing opener.

With fish potentially staying in shallow waters this year because of the colder stretch in February, Scheels fishing manager Jadyn Thomas says the type of bait you used could prove to be critical.

"It's going to be a real back to basics to fishing," Thomas said. "Lot of jigs and minnows, jigs and shiners, slip bobbers, leeches."
