WATCH: Bison women win at home, Sanderson eyes Olympics in WDAY 10pm Sports for Jan. 6th

FARGO— NDSU women's basketball pulls away with a 74-68 win over Denver. Reneya Hopkins had a career night with seven rebounds and six assists setting the Bison up for victory. Emily Dietz had a historical night inside the SHAC becoming the 35th Bison player to reach 1000 career points.

After a week of postponements due to COVID, UND men's basketball was back in action against Omaha. North Dakota fell to the Mavericks 98-82. At home, UND women's basketball snaped three game losing skid defeating Omaha 71-57, picking up its first Summit League win.

UND hockey's Jake Sanderson is expected to make team USA's roster for the Beijing Winter Olympics, along with Roseau native Aaron Ness. The Olympics start February 4th on NBC.
