BUXTON - Region 2 is proving it's the best in the state.
Three teams from the region are ranked in the top six, Thompson at 1, Hillsboro-Central Valley at 3 and Cavalier at 6. Problem is only one of them can go to state.
In a battle between the Burros and Tornadoes, Hillboro-Central Valley erased an 11 point deficit and rallied to win, 62-58.
Carson Henningsgard led the Burros with 28 points. HCV moves to 9-1 after the win.
