The college basketball season is officially underway. NDSU and UND men tip off their seasons.

FARGO -- North Dakota State men's basketball opening its season at home against Concordia. The Bison double up the Cobbers 88-44 as Grant Nelson finishes with 20 points.

North Dakota opened its season at home against Milwaukee and NBA prospect Patrick Baldwin Jr. The Hawks trailed by 8 at the break but Milwaukee pulled away in the second half to win 75-60. Baldwin Jr. finishes with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Paul Bruns led the Hawks with 13 points.

The North Dakota women also opening their schedule tonight. The Fighting Hawks falling at Weber State 72-57.


The EDC volleyball tournament with quarterfinals play tonight. Fargo Davies taking on Fargo South. The Eagles hold off South to advance.

Class B volleyball tournament action as well. Northern Cass hosting Hankinson. The Jaguars sweep Hankinson to advance to the semifinals.
