FARGO -- The return of the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks officially arrives tomorrow. Chris Coste's squad heads to Cleburne to open the 2021 season with a six-game road trip. The only change is that Coste won't be with his team, he'll be finishing his season with Concordia baseball in the MIAC postseason. Despite that, it's a return to a normal 100-game season that begins in May, just how the players like it.

"Last year was a unique opportunity, we had international scouts scouting the league, guys got out of the league even with the weird year," said veteran outfielder Correlle Prime. "So being back, I think people are more hopeful than anything."

NDSU's track team continues to dominate the Summit League, is also continuing to give itself national recognition. The Bison women won a 13th straight league championship over the weekend, while the men captured an 11th consecutive title. Head coach Stevie Keller said he expects 14 women and 13 men to compete in the NCAA preliminary meet, which starts on May 26th.

"When we first moved into division one, which I remember well because I was here during that time and the transition," Keller said. "We started traveling a lot, we started going to meets and people are looking and a lot of times, you had ND State or North Dakota State and they're looking at it trying to figure out where we're at.

"Now when we go to the national meet or the bigger meets, people know NDSU's going to bring a lot and they're going to be competitive."
