FARGO- Shanley's Haley Bucholz made it official Wednesday afternoon, signing with UND to play football.
Bucholz was named to the Class AA first team as a defensive back.
Bucholz has battled dyslexia nearly his entire life. A crucial factor in his decision to go to UND was the coaches support and willingness to help any way they can with his learning needs when he gets on campus.
" That fit me perfectly and for the coaches and everyone to be on my side and to back me up when I needed them, I said school might not be the easiest thing at points," Bucholz told WDAY Sports. "I just need you to understand if you stick with me I will give you my all in sports as long as you help me through school. They fully respect that and will be there for me anyway they possibly can."
