North Dakota hockey is approaching the final stretch of its season with history still a possibility.
UND can do something no other NCHC team has done by winning a third-straight Penrose Cup if it can navigate the last four series of the season and get a helping hand from first-place Denver.
"Going into the year with the eight members of our league, the way they play and how hard our league is, it's going to be a grind. It gets exponentially tougher as the second half goes on," said UND head coach Brad Berry.
The Fighting Hawks will be represented at this year's NFL Combine. Offensive tackle Matt Waletzko received an invitation to workout in front of NFL scouts and officials in Indianapolis in March.
