The emotions of the NFL Draft have settled in for former North Dakota State wide receiver Christian Watson.

Now the next step in the process begins this weekend, with Watson in Green Bay for rookie minicamp. He knows expectations will be high with the Packers needing weapons this offseason, but Watson says that's a sign of optimism.

"I heard it today from coach, nothing is given, everything is earned," Watson said. "It's definitely just a challenge for me, knowing what I'm capable of and knowing what I want to achieve and obviously I know they have a lot of confidence in me."

Maleeck Harden-Hayes is heading much further East for his next college destination. The Moorhead native and former NDSU forward announced he'll transfer to UNC-Wilmington. Harden-Hayes originally intended to go to Kansas City, but backed off the commitment when Roos coach Billy Donlon parted ways with the school.
