FARGO— For the first time this winter, the WDAY Honor Roll returns. Zach Staton shares how one Minnesota hockey team is hitting it's stride, one Davies freshman is seeking division one attention, and we already have a candidate for dunk of the year.
Monday night brought together a top 10 battle in Class B, No. 2 Kindred hosting No. 7 Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier in a rematch of last year's state championship. The Vikings took control from the start and didn't look back. Senior Jaiden Peraza scored 9 points as the Vikings earn their seventh straight win, 48-37.
"It definitely felt like there was just a little bit of tension in the air and rivalry, especially from the other team. I know that I saw them eying us and we were eying them, but it's still a fun game," said Peraza.
Game of the Week returns on Tuesday night on WDAY Xtra, with Fargo South-Shanley hosting Grand Forks Central in boy's hockey. Puck drop is at 7:30 on WDAY Xtra, also streaming on Inforum.com.
