WEST FARGO — The West Fargo Packers softball team downed Fargo North 1-0 on Friday, securing the No. 1 seed for next week's Eastern Dakota Conference tournament.
Courtney Boll surrendered two hits with a walk and 11 strikeouts in a complete-game shutout for the Packers. Mikayla Johnson went 2-for-3 with an RBI to pace the West Fargo offense.
Gabby Olek struck out 10 for the Spartans (11-14, 10-8 EDC).
The Packers (18-5, 17-1) will host Fargo Davies on Tuesday in the first round of the conference tournament.
