BISMARCK - Carli Peterson had 12 kills en route to being named the game's MVP as the West defeated the East 25-17, 25-20, 25-22, 23-25, 15-11 in the final night of the Optimists All-Star volleyball two-game series Tuesday.
The two teams played five games even though the winner was decided in three.
Jenna Green and Lacey Ryckman led the East with seven kills apiece.
East: Kills - Green 7, Ryckman 7, Waller 6, Gegleman 6. Assists - Cochran 14, Jochim 11. Aces - Laske 2, Cochran 2, Waller 2.
West: Kills - Peterson 12, Opp 10, Moser 8. Assists - Rudolph 19, Renner 12. Aces - Opp 4, Rudolph 3, Erhardt 2, Assel 2.
