North Dakota State sophomore Matt Wetterling finished third at the UNI Open last weekend, an impressive feat considering the competition. He pinned his first three opponents, lost 6-4 to eventual champion Vince Jones of Nebraska. He beat Phillip Keddy of Iowa 9-6 and pinned DeAndre Nunn of Northern Iowa.
