SAINT PAUL — Beau Wilmer netted two goals to lead Concordia as the Cobbers took down Hamline 5-3 in Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play Friday night.
Tyler Bossert opened the scoring with a power-play goal early in the first period. A few minutes later, Wilmer doubled the advantage with his first goal of the night.
Weiland Parrish cut the deficit to one with a power-play score of his own, but the Cobbers responded in the second period. Eddie Eades and Parker Simonson scored for Concordia before Parrish made it a 4-2 game heading into the final period.
The Pipers (3-11-4, 1-5-3 MIAC) made a late push in the third period with Erik Dahl's goal with 15 minutes, 18 seconds to go in the contest. Hamline pressed for the tying goal, but Wilmer scored an empty-net goal to seal the win.
Bossert and Tanner Okeson each backed Wilmer's two-goal night with two assists. Cobbers netminder Cam Haugenoe made 26 saves.

Concordia climed to 6-8-2 overall and 3-3-1 in MIAC play with the win. The two sides face off again at 2 p.m., Saturday Jan. 25.
