MOORHEAD — Winona State dominated the second set and carried it over to the third to defeat Minnesota State Moorhead 25-19, 25-9, 25-17 on Friday at Nemzek Fieldhouse in the Dragons' second-to-last regular-season game.
The Dragons, 5-14 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference and and 5-22 overall, close out the season hosting Upper Iowa at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13.
On Friday, MSU Moorhead's Bridget Witzman and Amanda Carlson both had six kills. Kelly Klees had 11 set assists, Brooke Walthall had 22 digs and Carlson had 12 digs.
Winona State's Megan Flom had 13 kills, Madison Larson had 11 and Bre Maloney had 35 set assists.
