GRAND FORKS, N.D. - Grand Forks Red River junior Liza Wischer beat Bismarck Century's Hallie Welk 6-0, 6-1 Saturday to win her fifth straight singles championship at the North Dakota state high school tennis tournament.
Wischer lost just one game in four matches. She reached the championship match with a 6-0, 6-0 win over teammate Callie Ronkowski in the semifinals.
Williston's Emily Sell and Rachel Hennessy defeated Red River's Brynne Wischer and Amirah Ahmed 4-6, 7-6, 7-5 to win the doubles title.
Fargo Shanley's Andrea Rognlien defeated Bismarck Century's Alicia Horner 0-6, 6-4, 7-5 for fifth place.
The Deacons doubles team of Megan Baker and Jessica Baker lost in the third-place match to Mandan's Leah Gietzen and Kathryn Neubauer,6-3, 6-3.
