COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Andre Iguodala, Al Jefferson and eight other young NBA players will help the U.S. men's basketball team prepare for the FIBA Americas Championship, an Olympic qualifying tournament.
USA Basketball on Monday announced its Select Team, which will scrimmage against the national team from Aug. 15-20.
Iguodala, a swingman for Philadelphia, and Jefferson, a forward recently traded from the Boston Celtics to the Minnesota Timberwolves, are two of the most experienced players on the squad. Each is entering his fourth NBA season.
