MOORHEAD — Minnesota State Moorhead won four of the final five matches to rally past Concordia and earn a 20-19 win in a nonconference dual Thursday at Nemzek Fieldhouse.
It was the first win of the season for the Dragons as Justin Dravis (165 pounds) and Evan Foster (174) secured the final two matches to complete the comeback.
After MSUM's Joey Nerdahl lost by major decision to Concordia's Jacob Prunty, the Dragons faced a 16-6 deficit with five matches left. MSUM's 141-pounder Mason Schultz and 149-pounder Zach Scott started the run with wins over Cade Lundeen and Brett Wilson, respectively. Foster's 6-2 decision over Ian Frenzel clinched the win for MSUM.
The Cobbers fell to 5-4 and will host St. John's at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31. The Dragons improved to 1-3 and will face No. 8 Upper Iowa at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 26.
