Youth baseball: Fargo 13U picks up big win in World Series pool play

Fargo defeated Munster, Ind., by 10 runs on Monday and wraps up pool play against Meridian, Miss., on Tuesday.

GLEN ALLEN, Va. — Fargo got its first win in the 13U Babe Ruth World Series with an 11-1 victory over Munster, Ind., on Monday.

Caden Nelson and Kaleb Blanchette both had two hits and two RBIs and pitchers Payton Spitzer and Beckett Gigstad combined to allow just the one run.

Fargo plays Meridian, Miss., in its fourth and final pool play game at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16. Bracket play begins Wednesday.
