HONOR FLIGHT

The Honor Flight will take about 90 veterans from World War II and the Korean and Vietnam wars to Washington, D. C.
Master Sgt. Chester Ovnand was born in Thief River Falls and also spent part of his childhood in Adams, North Dakota.
Some have waited years for an Honor Flight to take their generation to Washington, D.C. But even now, they say it's not about them.
Vietnam veteran who once helped his WWII dad on a 2007 Honor Flight is now joined on his own Honor Flight by his Operation Iraqi Freedom son.
