WATCH: Denver's second-half surge topples NDSU

NDSU falls flat in second half in loss at Denver

DENVER — Denver outscored North Dakota State by 21 points in the second half en route to an 80-65 Summit League men's basketball victory Wednesday.

NDSU held a 36-30 lead at halftime. Denver was up 54-52 with nine minutes, 27 seconds remaining, then went on a 24-8 run over the next 7:13. The Pioneers ( 6-14, 1-5 Summit) shot 54 percent from the field, while holding the Bison (8-11, 2-3) to 39 percent shooting.

Four Denver starters scored in double figures, led by Ade Murkey and Joe Rosga's 18 and 17 points, respectively.

Rocky Kreuser was the lone Bison starter to score in double figures, leading NDSU with 13 points and six rebounds. Cameron Hunter came off the bench and chipped in 12 points.
