FARGO — A slow-moving cold front will work its way out of Canada and into North Dakota overnight tonight.

A few rounds of widely scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will be possible this afternoon and evening across the Red River Valley.

Isolated rain showers and thunderstorms will be present this afternoon across the region, and some of these storms may be enough to produce small hail and gusty winds.

Heading into the evening hours, more rain showers and thunderstorms may develop near the Canadian border and then track south into the northern Red River Valley. Some of these rain showers and thunderstorms may be severe with hail and gusty winds.

Otherwise, expect muggy conditions through the day today and into the evening and overnight hours.
