Tree service crews busy after high winds

MOORHEAD — The weekend's wind gusts hit just over 50 mph Sunday, making more business for tree services on Monday, June 15.

The six-man crew at Tyler's Tree Service was just getting caught up with all their jobs from last week's storm, and now have more work after the last two days of high winds tossed trees around like a salad.

"There is no reprieve," said Tyler Gylland of Tyler's Tree Service. "It has just been nonstop."

Gylland was in south Moorhead, taking care of Mike and Lisa Benusa's tree issues. They knew their backyard tree had a crack, and the last two days of high winds made everything worse.

"Ours was a little too heavy too and so the wind just moved the split even farther," said Lisa Benusa.

The scene was repeated all across Fargo-Moorhead — homeowners and tree service crews hauling and loading up what the wind whipped and left behind.
