West Fargo comes together to honor Lt. Gustafson

A memorial honoring the lieutenant has been created in the lobby of West Fargo City Hall.

WEST FARGO — Funeral arrangements have been set for West Fargo Police Lt. Adam Gustafson, who died Tuesday, May 18 after he suffered a major heart attack at City Hall.

The funeral is planned for 1 p.m., Wednesday, May 26, at Northview Church, 3401 25th St. S. in Fargo, Police Chief Denis Otterness announced Thursday.

Family, friends and the public are welcome to attend, though limited seating is available. The furneral will be livestreamed on Inforum.com/West-Fargo.

Gustafson, 40, suffered a heart attack and was rushed to Sanford Medical Center where he later died. The Cass County Coroner’s Office said Gustafson suffered from severe coronary artery disease and major arterial blockage, causing a sudden, fatal heart attack.
