WEST FARGO — The rock band Skillet will be opening the grandstand stage at the 2021 Red River Valley Fair on Friday, July 9.
The Red River Valley Fair announced the band's appearance this week. Eighties bands Ratt, Cinderella, Tom Keifer and KIX will perform on the Grandstand stage on Friday, July 16.
Tickets go on sale for Skillet at 9 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26. Tickets are $25 and will include gate admission to the Fair on Friday, July 9.
Tickets will be available for purchase at redrivervalleyfair.com.
The 2021 Red River Valley Fair is planned for July 9 – 18 at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds in West Fargo. The 2020 fair was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The two-time Grammy Award-nominated multiplatinum quartet Skillet includes John Cooper on lead vocals and bass, Korey Cooper on guitar/keys, Jen Ledger on drums and vocals, and lead guitarist Seth Morrison.
The band's breakout single “Monster” remains “one of the most-streamed rock songs of all-time” with over 3 billion global audio streams, according to the fair's announcement.
