West Fargo Public Library now accepting meeting room reservations

The public can now reserve meeting rooms at the West Fargo Public Library. This service was paused due to the COVID-19 pandemic but resumed Monday, June 21. At this time, the library has two meeting rooms that the public can reserve. These rooms are intended for use by non-profit groups and for city-sponsored events, however, for-profit businesses may reserve a room for a fee. The rooms can be reserved in advance for any time during library business hours unless the room is being used for a library event or is already reserved by a different group. Before reserving a library meeting room, the public should review the West Fargo Public Library meeting room policy which can be found at

West Fargo Public Library open Sundays beginning Sept. 12

Beginning Sunday, Sept. 12, the West Fargo Public Library will be open Sundays from 1 – 5 p.m. Sunday hours continue through Memorial Day 2022.

West Fargo Public Library participates in One Book, One Community

The 2021 One Book, One Community book read is "Everything You Wanted to Know about Indians but Were Afraid to Ask"; by Dr. Anton Treuer. Readers can join the challenge on Beanstack at to track reading hours alongside people from other area libraries. Throughout the fall, the West Fargo Public Library and Fargo and Moorhead libraries will host a series of events related to this year's topic too. Wednesday, Sept. 15

Early Literacy Storytime: 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Wednesdays at the West Fargo Public Library (215 3 rd St E, West Fargo)

Intended for children ages three to five, Early Literacy Storytimes are an opportunity for children to engage in art activities, stories, songs, movement activities, rhymes and more to help them develop literacy skills they will need for Kindergarten.

Novel Afternoons Book Club: 1 – 2 p.m. the third Wednesday of each month at the West Fargo Public Library.

Mahjong Games at the Library: 1:30 – 3:30 Wednesdays at the West Fargo Public Library (215 3rd St E, West Fargo)

• Experienced Mahjong players are invited to the library once a week, every week (excluding holidays) for mahjong games in one of the library meeting rooms.

Thursday, Sept. 16

Twisted Stitchers: 1 – 3 p.m. Thursdays at the West Fargo Public Library

This is a group of experienced knitters and crocheters that meet to socialize as they work on their various independent projects and share techniques.

Third Thursday Book Club: 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. the third Thursday of each month at the West Fargo Public Library.

Friday, Sept. 17

Baby Boost Storytime: 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Fridays at the West Fargo Public Library

Baby Boost Storytime is intended for children ages two and under and their parents or guardians. Together we will sing, move, play and listen to stories together. Baby Boost Storytimes bring babies and their adults together, strengthen their bond and give parents tools to continue their child’s learning at home.

Saturday, Sept. 18

The West Fargo Public Library is closed Saturday, Sept. 18 as well will be attending West Fest.

West Fest Family Fun: 2 – 4 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church (210 5 th Ave E, West Fargo)

After the parade, come hang out with us at Family Fun outside of Blessed Sacrament Church. We will be among other awesome organizations and activities for all ages.. Visit the pop-up library and read, play and create together.

Tuesday, Sept. 21

Free Movie Screenings: 1:30 - 3 p.m. and 6:30 to 8 p.m. at West Fargo Public Library.

Free movie screening at the library. This film screening is part of this year’s One Book, One Community series of events, which focus on recognizing and celebrating American Indians and other indigenious people. For more information about the film, visit
